Biography


Donald Wolcott began playing the piano when he was four years old. He developed a love for jazz throughout his middle school and high school years.  Now age 21, in the seventeen years he has been playing music, Donald has become an in-demand pianist in the Baltimore/ Washington D.C. area. He has received numerous accolades as a pianist and won awards for his work, including performances at the University of the Arts Jazz Festival, the National Distinguished Scholar Competition, and the Washington D.C. Heritage Music Festival.  He has performed throughout the United States, as well as in Europe, Asia, and Australasia.

In 2008, Donald accepted a scholarship to Towson University majoring in Jazz Performance. He currently plays with various local jazz groups, composes, arranges, and is frequently booked for weddings, parties, corporate events, musical theater, vocal accompaniment, and recording sessions. He spends his summers as a music teacher at the CampJam music camp in Potomac, MD. He also teaches private piano, guitar, and bass lessons.
